Frequently asked Questions
Why is the quote you sent me more expensive than the prices listed here?
Prices listed are base prices and complex markings, clothes, wings etc. might make the price higher as it comes with more work and time needed to render and rig the model.I want to commission you, is there a wait list I can be added to?
I do not have a wait list at this time. but I do announce my commissions opening on social media. When will you open for commissions?
I always post on my Twitter with any news on my commission status. Please follow me over there to stay up to date with news.I want to send you a business email.
My business email is [email protected]
Please only email me for business related topics. Can you teach me how to make my own model?
I have a few helpful videos on my youtube channel and sometimes stream my process on twitch. You can also find resources on my Ko-fi shop, such as fully rigged models and parts as well as PSD files. I do not teach Live2D privately. What software should I use for tracking?
While there are several programs out there that work well for Live2D avatars I recommend using Vtube Studio with Iphone tracking.
Programs such as Vbridger or Vitamins allow for more tracking options as well and is worth looking into if you want to get the absolute most out of your model. What hardware is needed for Vtubing?
Make sure you have a PC powerful enough to run Vtube studio, your game and your broadcast software of choice. You also need a good webcam or an iPhone as well as good lighting.
The quality of tracking will depend on your camera quality and lighting setup.Do I need an iPhone?
You do not need an iPhone for model tracking, however iPhones offer the best tracking as of right now. RTX support for Vtube Studio offers really good tracking too if that is a card you have in your PC.
Even with just a webcam or an android phone you can still get pretty good tracking, assuming you have good lighting and the camera specs are up to the task.
I recommend you get a webcam with at least 30 FPS and 1080p.
For iPhone tracking the phone must be a X or newer model, I recommend XR if you wish to get one as cheap as possible but still have stable tracking.
Finally making sure your PC is powerful enough to handle the tracking is very important, even with the fanciest iPhone the model will be slow and choppy if your GPU is unable to render it smoothly. What blending modes are available in Live2D?
Live2D has two blending modes (not including normal), Add and Multiply. When preparing a PSD for rigging I highly recommend using Multiply for all your separated shadows and Add for any separated highlights or glowing parts. How big should the canvas be for Live2D models?
For a fullbody model I recommend a 8000 px tall canvas. The width depends on how wide your model art is. I create models with a 8000 px tall canvas and do prefer working with that size as it gives way more freedom and allows me to really animate all the little details.
